What people are saying about infltable air beds:
Wenzel Insta-Bed Queen Raised Sure Grip Bottom with Built-in Pump
This air mattress typically holds the air for a much longer period of time. Some consumers report that they didn't have to re-pump for about 5-8 days. In terms of comfort, many people claim that this inflatable air mattress is top-notch. Most people claimed that their guests who used the mattress had absolutely no issues with it and were very comfortable. One couple who said the wife is around 300 pounds and the husband has back problems said that they really enjoyed the bed and had no problems with it. The biggest tip people gave was that you might need sheets with deep pockets as the bed is pretty high off the ground and it might be hard to get the sheets to stay on the mattress.
Coleman ComfortSmart Quickbed Air Bed
Reviews for this Coleman air mattress are a bit mixed. Many people reported many problems with this air mattress such as losing air fairly quickly, and getting very cold in low temperatures. People say that this might not be the ideal mattress for everyday use, but if you were planning on using it only a few times a year, it may be the right air mattress for you. Overall, the cons outweigh the pros on this bed. It's still a top seller, but that may be more due to price than quality of the product.
AeroBed Premier Classic with Comfort Zone Coils

Quickly inflates and deflates and people claim that it is one of the most comfortable inflatable air mattresses they have tried. People with back problems goes as far as saying that you should spend the extra few dollars to save your back with this product. Overall, people seem to really love this product. Of course with everything, there are a few exceptional situations.

More inflatable mattress reviews
Torie Bosch, a copy editor for Slate Magazine, did a review of a few inflatable air mattresses. Here findings were quite interesting. Here is how she scored some of the beds:
Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed: 5 out of 20
Wenzel Insta-Bed: 12 out of 20
Aerobed Premier Comfort Zone: 14 out of 20
Air Cloud Pillowtop Full-Size Air Bed With Remote: 15 out of 20
Home Trends Raised Air Mattress With Built-In Pump: 18 out of 20
AeroBed Premier Comfort Zone Raised: 19 out of 20
Not surprising at all, since most seem to really enjoy the AeroBed's most. It seems pretty evident too, that the higher price you pay, the more comfort you get. The theory of "you get what you pay for" really holds true for a product such as an air mattress. This is just something that you don't want to cheap out on, especially if you are buying it for guests to use. The only time you should purchase the cheaper models are if you only use it maybe once or twice a year when you go camping or something of the sort. Otherwise, don't cheap out because you will only end up hurting yourself (such as your back.) On the plus side, a cheap mattress could be a good way of scaring off those in-laws, however we do not condone such behavior. :)
